View Full Version : Best Seats In The House

In my short time of playing in a casino, I found that, all things being equal, the best seats are 2, 3, 8, and 9 for a couple of reasons.

First, a lot of careless players flash their cards clearly when they pick the cards up or about to muck their cards - they lift them off, tilt them toward the table, etc.. (I am forming the habit of not looking at my cards until it is my time to act).

Second, I get a good view of the entire table and can observe players' action during the entire deal.

I guess this agree with Art Santella's article in PD. Any other thoughts?

i like these seats as well. i much much prefer them over sitting in 4, 5, 6, or 7. i can look down the table, i can see everyone's faces, what they are looking at, if they're playing with their chips, etc. nobody is directly next to you, they are all pretty much right in front of you... i prefer 2, and 9 over 3 and 8. you can see more people that way. more room at the ends of the table for big stacks too!!

another advantage of these seats (2 and 9) is you can muck your hands more disreetly. Thus, it is not as noticable how tight you are playing (assuming that is how you play).
