There are lots of hanging chads so dont count you chickens before their hatched. We have yet to hear from Katherine Harris and the Florida Supreme court yet. Oh...and for the record i counted 34 SSers vs only 31 Zooers started (plus the unidentifieds). Not exactly something to be proud of. Thats like the other team getting three red cards before a match and braggin about your victory.

Comeone Cubs. Bragging about victory? Like the Zoo claiming a Dominating Victory before the event had even finished. In my book if you're the first to proclaim and ass-kicking you are the one that looks a little, erm, silly, when you actually lose.

I'm just having fun, win or lose. I don't wanna get involved in any of this "taking things too seriously/personally" that I've seen people on both sides do.
It's all in jest.

Anyway if the SS won with more showing up that's something to be proud of imo. It shows the dedication these guys have. I haven't played poker in weeks, I showed up. That's the dedication of your average SS guy.

Im not taking this very serious....just having some fun. I do think the structure should be weighted more heavily toward the top though....maybe a better way to do it would be to use the total money won as the determing factor in future tournies. This way the no shows will not be as big as a deal. Just a thought.

Its already weight towards the top. Maybe we could readjust it a bit.

I wouldn't be against havng scoring only the top 40 using the same basic formula, since the final table already gets some bonus points this would increase the % of points at the top a bit more while still allowing the majority who are duking it out and finishing in the middle 50% to contribute to the final score.

I find it very interesting how much closer the last tournament was. It didn't seem nearly as close as this one, yet the points where much closer. This one seemed to be neck and neck, leaning towards the Zoo having the win. Turns out, it wasn't close at all.

My thinking was that I wanted every Player to have an input to his Team's final total score. This way if the SS won by, say, 1 Point even someone like Homer /images/graemlins/wink.gif would be able to think he had something to do with his Team's victory.

Obviously, it's hardest to get to the final table, and hence the bonuses for going that extra mile.

After much deep discussion with the Wardens of The Zoo, they have instructed me to inform the SS that they have decided to make the Scoring System fairer, and, so that there can be no further argument on the final score, to accede to the suggestion of your spokesperson, Bob T.

There will be a further 60 Bonus Points added to each of the Top Five Finishers' scores.

Hence, the Final Final Score is :

Sorry I didn't make the tourney. I didn't make anything on Thursday, we had Huricane force winds blow through our little community and it pretty well wrecked the place. Those 200 foot trees look lovely on the post cards but let me tell you when they are cracking in half and comming down it sucks.

This is the first time we've had utilities since Thursday, just having heat again is an amazing feeling.

Ok with that said, how did I get blinded off and still come in 40th, above the ringer?

Hopefully that last post was a joke. I thought the cub pup was crying over a bunch of split milk in the zoo. If anyone didn't like the scoring system they should have complained before the tourney. If we want to change the scoring for the next tourney fine. This changing the rules after the fact makes me think of the old other side of the Iron Curtain (and French) Olympic judges (think basketball and figure skating).
