Does anyone know any clubs/casinos in england that play £1/2 PL holdem or higher?

I'm sure they have them. Intercasino and Golden Palace seem to have a large majority of players are from the UK (if you beleive their locations). You could go to one those sites and ask while you're at a table.

Just get a play account if you don't want to move your money around.

Most casinos that have card rooms (not that many) will only spread PL games, usually Omaha and HE, so providing there's a room near to you they'll usually be that game.

If you are in London, the only Poker spreading casion is the Victoria (Grosvenor) which always has a round of each Holdem/Omaha £1/2 £50 buy in; plus the occasional pure holdem game. Also try out www.gutshot.co.uk. (http://www.gutshot.co.uk.)
