9 7 Offsuit or Suited, My Favorite Hand.

I'm sure everyone has their favorite hand. That hand for me is 9 7, suited or unsuited. It's uncanny, but I hit this hand a very high percentage of the time. This doesn't mean I play the hand for three bets out of position, but when it's right to play it, it never fails for me. Anyways, on to the hand.

10-20, 5 handed on Pokerroom this morning. Decent table, a couple of fairly fishy players but nobody getting too out of line. UTG limps, cutoff, who posted first hand, raises, button (the only semi-fish calling station in the game), calls two cold, I call from SB with-

BB calls, utg calls. Flop comes:

I bet, BB folds, utg folds, raiser calls, button raises. I call, raiser calls. Turn:

I bet, raiser calls, button raises, I call, raiser folds. River:

4 /images/graemlins/club.gif

I check, button checks.

When I first started to play, I won a couple of monsterrific pots with Js-8s so it became my favorite hand. When I got to minus $2,000 with it, I stopped playing it.
