I have a question, it's a simple do or do not raise pre-flop question.

UltimateBet 50cent/$1

I'm in three seats from the button with 7 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif7 /images/graemlins/spade.gif
Everyone before me has folded, so I limp, both late positions limp, SB limps and the BB checks.

Flop 2 /images/graemlins/spade.gif4 /images/graemlins/heart.gif6 /images/graemlins/club.gif

I bet, everyone folds except BB who calls

Turn 3 /images/graemlins/club.gif, I bet and am called
River J /images/graemlins/diamond.gif I bet, am raised, and call

BB shows 4 /images/graemlins/spade.gif2 /images/graemlins/heart.gif and I lose.

Do you think I should have raised pre-flop? would it have worked?

Thanks,
The GAK Attack

Fold or raise preflop.

When first in preflop and the later your position, your raising standards should loosen up. In this case, i think you should raise preflop. Will it work? yes, because if the BB will "defend" his blind with 42o, then you are going to win a ton of money from him/her.
