Hi Everyone:

I just got back from seeing this film and it is incredibly good. Here's a link to a Roger Ebert review.

Master and Commander: The Far side of the World (http://www.suntimes.com/ebert/ebert_reviews/2003/11/111405.html)

Best wishes,

The movie was panned here previously I believe for being more or less boring. I thought the movie was very good also. In a nutshell I thought the movie gave a much different portrayal of a leader at sea than the normal hollywood stereotype.

That was some review. I did not think the movie was as good as that review but probably worth the 10 bucks.

I saw 3 movies this week.

Station Agent. A very nice movie that brings out the main characters very well.

Gothika. A psycho thriller that promised jolts of dramatic moments and delivered. Though the story line was a little too supernatural for my tastes.

Master and Commander. A rugged man's movie. Nice depictions of life at sea but missed on a number of fronts.

I agree, it was an excellent film. I think it might Crowe's best performance of the last four years, save possibly Jeff Wigand in The Insider.

If you haven't seen this you should go see it.

If you have, check out 21 Grams.
