new 9/18 game

lve been playing at a local club mostly 4/8 w kill. now they will be starting a new 9/18. everybody is excited but........ what is the new stragtagy. games are usually so loose and easy but i want to be prepared for new format. any ideas. i was playing the other night and this guy kept showing me aa and ak and saying thats my luck. he never raised once saying they never stand up anyway.

What are the blinds? If the blinds are $6 and $9, which I think they are, the game has converted to a 2 and 3 chip blind structure (unlike the 4-8 which is a 1 and 2 chip structure). This means you should call with ANY two cards in the SB in an unraised pot (unless the BB is a frequent raiser). You have too much invested in the pot to fold any two cards. But otherwise, hey, have fun...if the 4-8 morons are moving up, u should have a field day. Be tight aggressive and have a proper roll.
