I posted in the CO, UTG +1 raises, EP makes it three to go, CO+1 calls three cold, and this is how it looks from my angle...

Not so hard, I think.... It's the button on the left.

/images/graemlins/tongue.gif You're vastly underestimating the power of the Granny Mae. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I capped it and we saw the flop four ways, it fell low with two spades.

Checked to EP 3-bettor who bet, CO+1 calls, I raise my draw and we lose UTG, EP and CO+1 both call.

Turn is a queen, checked to me, I bet, and EP is my only caller.

River is an offsuit 8 putting a 3-straight on the board, checked to me, I make a quiet prayer to granny and bet, EP calls me with AKo and my ladies are good.

Great play, Jason. I'm surprised you didn't cause a server crash with that much pre-flop action at a True 1/2 table.

Hellsbells is a very nice lady from Edinburgh - I hope you were gentle with her. Oh, and I'm guessing Albertaslim is not an expert.

Here's my take:

-It's the only site with semi-realistic/humourous animated graphics and audio. Some people love it; some people hate it; some are indifferent. I have heard it claimed that it doesn't run so well on a slow machine or across a slow connection - I don't know whether that's true.
-The pace of gameplay is slower than Party or UB although it's not painfully slow and seems quicker than Intercasino.
-You can only play one table at a time (but so what - I just play another table at another site).
-The fun graphics, good chat interface and audio effects (type "lol", "nh" or some other stock shortcuts and your avatar utters a corresponding sound or phrase) attract a fairly sociable and chatty crowd of regulars who are mostly there to have a good time.
-Not surprisingly therefore, the games tend to be very loose passive. This is helped along at 1/2 by a 1/1 blind structure. The rake at this level is also unusual - $1 comes out at $12, nothing before, nothing after. (I've never ventured above 2/4 so I don't know how soft or tough the higher limit games are).
-Whenever I've logged on it's been possible to get into a full or nearly full 1/2 HE table. O8 games run sporadically.
-Annoyingly, when you sit down (wherever the server chooses to plonk you), you can only post or sit out - there is no automatic "wait for BB" option.
-Customer service is not the most responsive and the hosts have a reputation for being surly but TruePoker CEO monitors this forum, supports Zoo events and follows up problems that are aired here.
-There's a 20/25% first deposit bonus and similar reload bonuses have been offered during promotional periods. These have to be worked off at a rate of $10 per 100 raked hands (so effectively close to a 100% rake rebate if you play full-table 1/2).
-There's a FPP scheme but - like Pokestars and UB - not of massive value (the entries into added-money freerolls are better value than either of those other two).

These poor sumbeeches are coming after Granny with nothing but Aces and Big Slick?

Sigh. They just don't know any better do they?

"Annoyingly, when you sit down (wherever the server chooses to plonk you), you can only post or sit out - there is no automatic "wait for BB" option."

You can now change seats to any open seat at your table. This option was recently added.

Good screen shot of $1-2 table action, thanks for the mention.

According to a post in Small Stakes, Truepoker is much "fishier" than Party. Nice that your Granny held up.

I hope we see the same type of maniacal/fishy play from you guys on the 4th. I checked my PokerTracker DB, and I've seen the flop with Q5s all of 6 times out of my last 50k hands. They've all been from the blinds in unraised pots. I guess I have no faith.

$.50 chips are obviously too complex for them.

The used to allow affiliates to collect the rebate on their own rake...not sure if that was just for early affiliates or not. However, I was impressed with the note I received recently acknowledging that there were improvements in the accuracy and the reporting shows breakdowns on individual accounts...the payments are not very high, but the spirit is good!

Well, maybe you are right and a $.50 cent chip is too complex for us. Of course, that may also be why we rake a $1-2 game that much less on pots of $ 5.00, compared to that bigger site.

The truth is we do not break dollars and forgo that rake revenue entirely below pots of $12.00 or more. We may change that some day, but not as yet.

I've seen the flop with Q5s all of 6 times out of my last 50k hands

Most of us would fold a crap hand like Q5s in the BB in an unraised pot, but I'm not quite sure why you introduced a hand like that into the conversation, anyway. You might as well have said, randomly, "I was dealt a 72o last night."

PO was talking about a GrannyMae.

His screenshot was one of the most heart-stopping images I have seen for a long time.

I would bet that if he (or Mr True-Man?) turned that into a full-sized Wall Poster every single true Zoot would buy one for the benefit of a charity of PO's choice.

We decided that the proper people to reward with rake rebates are our best customers, the players. Our most regular customers play enough hands to get a Platinum Player status.

So, we have decided to give our best customers, i.e Truepoker Platinum Players, a 100% rake rebate for hands they win during the week before the 2004 Super Bowl Sunday.

Anyone who is a Platinum Player for that week will get back a rebate of 100% of the rake they pay from the pots they win that week (with min 3 players dealt in). Anyone with 12000 raked hands between September 28 and January 25 will be elgible for this free play opportunity.

Details are on our website.

How do you get screen shots in your posts???

As far as the hand goes, that's an auto-cap.

What are you doing at 1/2?

TruePoker CEO
12-03-2003, 04:42 PM
We have a couple of hundred qualified players. We expect to add to that.

Remember, your totals go back 120 days for status.

Our goal was to give rewards to the players who historically pay the most rake per capita, our Platinum Players.

(Hey, it pays better and is more direct than sending rebates through affilates or paying bonus whoring. You play, we pay. This is not to say we won't use those marketing areas, we just thought to try something more direct here.)

cntrl + alt + print screen

This will copy the contents of the current window to your clipboard. Open up an imaging program (if all else fails you can use paint, but BMP files are HUGE) paste contents from clipboard into a "new" image, save the image in a web accessible location, and use the "Image" link when posting a message.

Presto.

That's one of the things I meant.

As TruePokerCEO points out, although you have no choice as to where you sit initially, there is a new "Reseat" button that lets you move to a different empty seat without leaving the table.
