This was from the 2+2 table last night. I don't remember who my opponent was, and I didn't recognize his name, but we'll assume he didn't wander in off the street since he had the password.

Anyway. I have 7-7 in the SB and open raise. BB calls.

The flop is Q-Q-X.
I bet, he raises. I don't beleive this for a second and three bet. He calls.

Turn is a 9. I bet he calls.

River is a 6. I bet, he calls.

He had A-9s and wins.

How did we do?

I think he should have raised the turn. Other than that, you both played fine. What name were you playing under?

I think you played it ok, I may have check-called the river unless you think he would call with A-high. Value-betting standards should be raised a bit on this table so this bet isn't as clear as it may be on a normal table.

As for him, I would have 3-bet you pre-flop. The flop was a bit questionable, I'm not sure if calling the flop 3-bet is correct. I think the turn and river play by him were fine.

Yeah, I know. Good thing I won 30 BB after this hand or it would have kept me up at night. /images/graemlins/cool.gif
