I find myself getting 3-bet a lot recently. Sometimes, I back off an let the 3-bettor take control and other times I bet into the 3-bettor.

In this hand EP2 was a very tight and aggressive player and the SB was calling station.

Party Poker 5/10 (10 handed)
MaxPower has J/images/graemlins/club.gif, J/images/graemlins/spade.gif and is EP1

MaxPower raises, EP2 3-bets, Button folds, SB calls, BB folds, MaxPower calls

Flop(10 SB): Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 5/images/graemlins/club.gif, 7/images/graemlins/heart.gif

SB checks, MaxPower bets, EP2 folds, SB calls

Turn(6 BB): 6/images/graemlins/club.gif

SB checks, MaxPower bets, SB calls

River(8 BB): A/images/graemlins/club.gif

SB checks, MaxPower checks

Is this industry standard?

Yeah, you might have a value bet on the river, but it is thin, and you might have to deal with a checkraise. I think a check on the river is fine.

I like how this hand was played, and would play it the same way.

Just to make you feel better. This hand is very well played and I would have played it the same way!

Oh, and I see this is 5/10 Full, have you given consideration to the 5/10 6-max? I was aprehensive at first but, damn, the games are soft!

Peace,
JT

In the last week I have been very careful about game selection in the full games and it has paid off. Many of the games are tight, but you can always find one or two that are good.

I will give 6-max a try as soon as I build up my bankroll a little more.
