View Full Version : Poker at Commerce Casino

I may have a chance to play at the Commerce later this week. I'm normally a recreational player who plays in Vegas a couple of times a year. How do the low and mid limit hold 'em games on a Thursday and Friday night compare to those at the Bellagio? Any input would be welcome. Thanks.

Commerce is one of the best places in the world to play HE with 3-6 games at each limit and also has some of the loosest tables I have ever consistently been a part of.

either way, loosey-goosey to the max in both these clubs. 1-2, 2-4, 3-6, 4-8... great games.

I agree PocketAces should check out the Bicycle Casino, which is only a few miles from the Commerce. With the help of the new hotel and expansion of top section into the lobby underneath, the Commerce dominates in the bigger games (although the Bike does well with 20/40 holdem and 20/40 Stud 8 or better).

However, the Bike has been nicely remodeled over the last year or two and is a very pleasant place to play. It gets especially good action in the 3/6 and 6/12 limits he is looking for.

Rick

Are the 1-2 and 2-4 games worth playing, or does everyone see the flop for the cap every hand? Do California games rake the pot, or is there an hourly charge for playing low limit games?

button drop, and yes the games are worth playing precisely because everyone sees the flop for 4 bets (not always 4 bets, mostly 1, sometimes 2). if you area worth your salt at all postflop than you can play rings around those dudes.

Thanks, I'll be in town a few weeks from now. Will try it out for sure.
