I am wondering if pokerstars uses props... seems like it would be hard to fill ring games without them? Anyone know?

Are they computers programmed for optimal performance or average? Just wondering about them.

As I understand, they are not computers at all. They are people who got park of their rake back to play and keep the games full. I don't know of any site (save for maybe ProPoker) that uses a computer for anything.

You may not want that job. Others have posted on the Internet forum about playing as a prop and it does not appear to be such a good deal. Since you are expected to start games or keep shorthanded games going, you may find yourself in an unfavorable situation because you cannot exercise game selection. Thus, your potential losses can far outweigh your rake rebate. Just something to keep in mind.
