Party Poker 1/2 (10 handed)
Hero has 4/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 5/images/graemlins/heart.gif and is BB

UTG limps, EP2 limps, MP3 limps, CO limps, Button folds, SB limps, Hero checks

Flop(6 SB): 7/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, K/images/graemlins/club.gif, 6/images/graemlins/diamond.gif

SB checks, Hero bets, UTG calls, EP2 folds, MP3 calls, CO calls, SB calls

Turn(5 1/2 BB): 3/images/graemlins/diamond.gif

SB checks, Hero bets, UTG raises, MP3 calls, CO folds, SB calls, Hero folds

River(12 1/2 BB): 8/images/graemlins/heart.gif

SB checks, UTG bets, MP3 folds, SB raises, UTG calls


Anybody play this different?

not betting the flop is a good start. your chance of winning the pot now is roughly zero, and you have only eight outs, two of which put three hearts on board.

i might call on the turn if UTG is aggressive, although i am definitely out of there on the river. still, so many players love playing any two suited in this game, that i would expect him to turn over a flush.

Leading the flop with the short end of the str8 with a possible flush probably not the best thing to do but I'm not sure over the long haul if it's an +EV play.

On the turn you made a lay down not many people would have made, so you should applaud yourself for that.
