View Full Version : Moving from Stars to Party?

First I will give a small introduction:

I first started playing at Truepoker, there I lost about 350$. Then I moved to PokerStars because there you can play at very low limits. I started with 50$ at 0.10/0.25. With playing 0.10/0.25 and 0.25/0.50 I won 250$ and I cashed that out. I started again with 50$ and played 0.25/0.50, 0.50/1 and 1/2. Now I'm playing 1/2 comfortably and have a bankroll of about 650$.

My BB/hour/table are:
3.94BB at 0.25/0.50
2.67 at 0.50/1
0.98 at 1/2

I'm probably not good enough to play at 2/4 at the moment and even if I am, my bankroll doesn't allow to do so.

I hear all those great things about Party and my question is: Should I move to Party?

What's your advice to do with the 650$? Move it all Party? Keep building a bankroll at PokerStars? Split my bankroll?
Any other ideas?

i think party has the best table selection. I play 1/2 and have just started consistantly winning about a month ago. If you dont get the perfect table it only takes seconds to get another one. It doesnt take more than a few minutes to find the perfect fishy table.(i prefer 2-3 full blown fish with everyone else at the table taking turns in taking thier money as opposed to a table full of fish-but thats just me). I never have a problem finding exactly what type of table i want.

lol..obviously at prime time it takes a little longer. But i rarely have it take more than 3-4 minutes to get a table.

I live in Europe and I'm not going to play at 3 AM local time, because of a good table selection at that time. Sorry, I should have mentioned that.

I would suggest you take $200 over to Party and give it a shot at 1/2 or .50/1.00. I think you will do fine. You may have to adjust your strategy a bit to account for the large amount of fishies.

Do bonusses change the amount I should move to Party?

Are there any special bonusses at Party I should know about?

I just installed Party but how do I get a bonus? Do I get it automaticly when I deposit? I have enough money to deposit 500$ for a maximum bonus of 100$ (I think), but like someone suggested 200$ is probably enough also. What do you advice?

I figured everything out but what would you advice? Deposit 500$ or just 200$ or less?

I believe Inthacup and Homer have some good offers for first time deposits at Party. If I where you I would send them a PM.

If have not been playing at Party, you have been missing out on tons of easy bonus money. And you will find many many players much weaker than you!!! Which is always a wonderful thing.
