So, we're sitting here deciding whether we should go see Pieces of April, My Life Without Me, or The Station Agent. Pieces of April and The Station Agent are playing too soon, so My Life Without Me it is. I love Sarah Polley and have been wanting to see this movie for a while. But then I decide that I'm not really in the mood for a downer. We check the listings and decide to go see Elf, 'cause it got a great score on the tomatometer. And I love Zooey Deschanel. Boy, was that one funny movie. The whole theater laughed out loud multiple times. I highly recommend it. And I also highly recommend Bad Santa. I just saw a preview screening of this - I think it comes out this weekend. Pretty much the opposite of Elf. Very dark. But also very funny. By the director of Ghost World and Crumb. I'm planning to see those first three movies in the next week or two. Anyone not like any of those?
