Hello,Hold'em Players,

Are the following hands playable in a loose-aggressive game: AK,KQ,AQ==off-suit?

Thanks for you help!

I just posted a very critical response to your post below advising Ron not to play these hands in his game.

AKo is definitely playable and is a raising and re-raising hand.

I'd certainly play both AQo and KQo under the right conditions (no raise ahead of me) and in the correct position (not early for KQo)

I think AQo could be the trickiest hand of the three since it plays the worst in multi-way pots.

Hello,Dynasty,

If the game is capped pre-flop and many players are staying in to see the flop, are QAo,QKo playable hands?

If the game is consistantly capped pre-flop with many players (Do you live in California?), then I'm probably only playing hands in Groups 1, 2, and 3 from any position. However, I wouldn't play AQo or KQo.

I'm not sure about AKo but I'd probably play it if the game is always capped pre-flop. But, I would easily fold it if it were raised, re-raised, and 4-bet before the action got to me if this weren't typical of the game.
