That is a great question.
I just started into interent poker.
Started with $50 at party and nothing here.
That was 2 months ago and I started at .50/1.00 and then to 1.00/2.00 and now range from 1.00/2.00 to (just recently) 3/6.
Anyways, I have only cashed out once for $350 and now I have $1350 in account. I wanna ask not *what do you do* but what do you recommend I do?
Thanks
Josie Wales

Apparently I'm the only one who cashes out weekly. I just like having a set amount that I withdraw from my roll each week for living expenses and leaving whatever other profits (or losses) that remain to my bankroll.

i also cash out weekly. i don't have a separate poker bankroll, i use all the cash i have to my name as a rolling bankroll. when i want to buy something, i buy it. i have bills, but not huge bills, so i'm all set. i keep records with poker tracker, so it's basically the same as if i had a separate poker bankroll, that's just me...

My Dear El Sapo, It really DEPENDS -- On the table texture, the quality of my opponents, my read on my opponents, and my position vis-a-vis my Party Poker account.

I set a target for my bankroll each month, which increments each month, then withdraw any amount over that.

Funny, I expected different results.

For a while I was using a weekly cashout schedule, but towards the end of the week my play would start to vary. I'd wonder if I could extend a win to X figure, or try harder to dig myself out of a hole... Basically being results oriented.

But the alternative, to cashout when your bankroll hit a certain figure, seemed even more results oriented. The psychology of this game ties me up. I am my own worst enemy many days.

Before I used to cash out when my account reached a certain point. Now I cashout when my account reaches a certain point.

Difference between before and now? Why the ZOO of course!
I've learned to be a whore. Before I cashed when I reached a monetary goal; now it's a matter of playing the right number of hands before cashing out. I still leave some bank at various sites so I can play every day but the bulk of the my bankroll sits in Neteller rather than my bank account or poker account. There really is nothing better than earning bonus money when I would have played anyway. Thanks guys. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well isn't that when you are flat Broke anyways, so no cashing out possible? /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I like to cash out an absurd amount (while still leaving myself bankrolled++) after several horrendous sessions as a way of reminding me of the good times and why I play.

I try not to cash out. Just keep moving up. Started at 1/2 in May and am now playing 5/10. Hope to be up to 10/20 in 6 months.

I cashout monthly and leave an amount equal to 200 BB's of my current level in my account. I then drop down a level and play at the lower level till I reach 300 BB's for the next higher level and move back up. Wash, rinse, repeat.
