Party .50/1.00 table.... started out playing like a little nancy-boy, was down 17 BB, am now back to even (The hell with that damn skirt!!!)....... calling station loaded table.

Party Poker 0.50/1 (10 handed)
Hero has 7/images/graemlins/spade.gif, Q/images/graemlins/club.gif and is BB

EP2 limps, CO(poster) checks, Button folds, SB limps, Hero checks

Flop(4 SB): Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 3/images/graemlins/club.gif, 2/images/graemlins/diamond.gif

SB bets, Hero raises, EP2 calls, CO calls, SB calls

Turn(8 BB): 8/images/graemlins/club.gif

SB checks, Hero bets, EP2 calls, CO folds, SB folds

River(10 BB): T/images/graemlins/spade.gif

Hero bets, EP2 calls

Was the flop raise a little too much, here? Any comments on my play? Result to follow.....

Nope, I would have done the same thing.

I've got this feeling you lost to call station EP's QJ, however.

Should be thankful he didn't raise at any point, nice table.

you can fold on the flop. that is not wrong here. but since you got those cold calls, fold on fourth street. as in a sensible game at all, you are beat. this may not have been one, but overall you were lucky you did have the best hand.

You're right..... this was FAR from a sensible game, and wouldn't ever think of raising on the flop here without an overcard to the queen for a kicker on most other tables.......

UTG was quite loose, though, if I remember correctly, so I figured I had at least a chance to get it down to heads-up...... little did I know that it would be against the OTHER player......
