When there's an open seat at a table I can join it with no problems, but when I'm on a waiting list and a seat comes up for me, the small "Load Table" window popups and then freezes the whole application. The title of the popup window changes to "Load Table (Not responding)", and I have to kill and restart the application. (Windows XP, 384 MB RAM).

This happens 100% of the time. I just cannot use the waiting list, Ihave to wait until a seat is available and try to sneak in before anyone else.

Before I submit this to GC support, is anyone else having the same problem?

I cashed out a couple days ago to get back into my normal ring game routine but while I was there, I had no problems with the wait list.

I also never had a problem with the wait list.

While in game pop up comes, then click yes to accept the seat and it takes me to the table. Never had it freeze up yet.

If you are running more apps than GC at the same time that could cause the problem not for sure though.

I've had the problem you describe a number of times. The "Loading Table" Window freezes. Only remedy so far has been to kill the client through the task manager and re log in.

Sam,

I have a couple of browser windows open at the same time, and usually also another poker client. Have you had the problem with only GC running?

I've only had this problem when I have another TGC table open.

I've only had this problem when I have another TGC table open.

I have it regardless of how many open tables I got.

I have the same experience as Sam. Occasional lock-up, kill it, restart/login again.

Yup, I also have this problem. But with all the Prima rooms. And not 100% of the time. 90% though. And once it's frozen nothing can be done except alt-ctrl-delete and close the program. At Grand Bay that would happen even off the waiting list, so I let that poker room go. They say they are working on it. Oh well.

this happened to me too. It called everything too, until my chips were eaten away.

I wrote to customer service to complain, and the responded with a form letter / ad addressed to the wrong person!

Please PM us the email you got so that we can get the lynch party ready in the customer service area. Form letters are sometimes a necessary evil, but when they are inappropriately used and wrongly addressed to boot someone needs to feel some rope burns around their neck

Re everyone else's issues raised in this thread, we have brought this one to Prima's attention and have asked them if they need any further info in order to diagnose the problem -- we'll report back when we hear more from them

Quick follow up: are you (and anyone else experiencing this problem) running on single or dual CPU?

There is a known issue along these lines for dual processors which has already been partially fixed, and the final fix is expected to be released in the next couple of weeks, but if you're running on a single processor then we probably have to dig a bit deeper --- if you are, please give some more details about your system configuration (make of PC, which version of XP, etc) as well as any TSR apps you have on your PC (ie anti-virus, etc)

Thanks in advance.

Configuration below copied from System Information utility (single CPU!). I have had the following apps running at the same time as GC when having problems the last days. I tried to shut down the firewall with no success.

- ZoneAlarm (firewall)
- McAfee VirusScan
- MSN Messenger
- Partypoker (or IntercasinoPoker)

Single Processor XP, 512M.

The lobby and the "Loading Table" window will freeze when opening second table (in a separate window) through Waiting List.

I've experienced the same problem although not as frequently as others (most recently about 5 minutes ago while on waiting list for Drive My Car - lost out on seat as result and therefore still waiting).

I'm using a single processor setup - AMD Athlon 1GHz - if this is of any use to you.

Thanks adde - we've pushed this to Prima and will keep chasing them for a resolution.

In case you guys are having a problem reproducing this problem.

1. Set the menu option to have separate windows for each table.
2. Open a table.
3. Get on a waiting list for another table.
4. Click 'Take a seat' (wording?) when the seat opens at the table.
5. When the "loading table" window comes up. Click on the other (first) table you are playing on.

The Lobby window and the "Loading table" window will freeze.

adde and others - here's a quick update.

This bug has been replicated now, and we're told a fix will be included in the software update that is scheduled to go out in the first week of December (there's another update coming out before that but unfortunately the fix for this issue was too late to beat the code freeze for the earlier update).

We'll speak with you once the relevant update has been released to see if your problem has been olved.
