here's one i saw today in the party $200:

big blind holds 7 /images/graemlins/club.gif4 /images/graemlins/club.gif and sees a free flop in a five-way pot, including SB.

flop: 9 /images/graemlins/club.gif 6 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 5 /images/graemlins/club.gif. your play? it was checked around.

turn: 6 /images/graemlins/club.gif. your play? also checked around.

river: 8 /images/graemlins/heart.gif. SB (about 2000 chips) bets 125. your play?

actual hand, BB (2500) raises to 375. two fold, LP (2500) pushes in, SB thinks and folds. your play?

Hmmm. Nice non-nut draw and raggedy looking board.

I think I would bet the flop in the hope of knocking out other players with a 7 in their hand, and preferably winning it, but that seems kind of unlikely.

I would certainly bet the turn when the flush comes in.

I would fold on the river. Someone with a flush draw or set in late position may well check the flop and then check the turn when the flush/house comes in, after all the checking up front: he wants to give someone a chance to catch up perhaps? After a bet, raise, all-in reraise, it really looks like this teeny flush is beaten. Surely they're not both playing the straight or trips.

Guy.
