Something Kurn had said caused me to make the right choice here (although I may well have just gotten lucky).

Middle of 36+3. The blinds are 100/200. I have about 3000 (a below average stack). I'm in the BB and see Q8o. Ready to fold. Folded to the button with about 5000. He limps! Red alert. SB folds. The flop is something like Q74 rainbow. I bet about 600. The button raises to put me in. I'm thinking maybe he's got a big hand. AA, KK, QQ, AQ, KQ, surely he would have raised preflop (he didn't always limp). Then I think maybe he's got a set. Well, the bet seems too large for raggedy flop. I think of something Kurn had said. Something about trying to figure what you think the other player wants you to do based on their action. I decide his bet is too big to be a represent a big hand and he wants me to fold. So, I call. He has Q8c (fortunately no club on the board so I had nothing to sweat).
