Which side is getting the best of this deal?

Also, what can one do with 25,000 ultimate points?

it would be a good deal except the guy is a con artist who will want your $40 first and you will never get your points since UB dont allow in trading points.

yeah, i saw him yesterday and accused him of conning, he laughed and left my table. I was at two tables, he showed up at my second one, I asked him about his con, he left again. beware.

I wasn't going to give him the $40 until I got my 25,000 points, so luckily he wouldn't have been able to con me.

Thanks for the info regardless.

Well, I'm not sure about if they permit transfers, but your question of "worth" got me curious...so I did a little shopping.

I checked out what you could buy for 25,000 points from UB's store. They have "BUSHNELL POWERVIEW COMPACT ZOOM BINOCULARS" for 25,500. I did some internet detective work and found those same binoculars here (http://store.yahoo.com/opticsgiant//busbinpowcom2.html). They are on sale for exactly $40.00 (plus shipping).

I hunted a little more--honestly because the idea of spending all those points for BINOCULARS seems stupid.

UB also is selling a CALLAWAY ODYSSEY PUTTER for 24,000 points. (This is more my line!) Again...off to the shopping I went. I found that same putter on sale here (http://shop.store.yahoo.com/brandsplace/0051-df-rossie.html) for $84!!!

Then I remember back to UB Aruba events. I don't know if anyone else remembers, but you could buy in to their Super Satellites for 22,000 points. That same event cost $109 to enter if you paid cash.

Ok, so my point? My point is I will argue that the $40 is probably a pretty good deal for the 25,000 points he's offering to trade. (Again, that's supposing UB will even do it.)

Now the last question is...Would I make the trade???

Not in a million years! I hardly expect to ever use my points. (Although, there was that Super...hmmmmmm)
