Party $.50/$1
I am dealt Jh Th on the BB.
One EP limper and one MP limper to me. Both are very loose. MP is a bit of a maniac.
Flop: 9h, Kd, Qc
I have the nut straight. Can't do much better than that.
I bet, EP calls, MP raises, I just call, EP calls. I do this so I don't scare out the EP caller.
Turn: [9h, Kd, Qc] 8d
I still have the nuts, but a flush draw is now out there.
I bet, EP calls, MP raises (what does he have?), I raise, EP cold calls, MP calls.
From this I realize that I probably could have gotten a third bet from the flop. I have no idea what either guy could have right now.
River: [9h, Kd, Qc, 8d] 4d
Now there is a flush on the board. I realize that I should not worry about runner-runner flushes on the board, but the MP maniac could have anything, and I am worried.
Despite my worry I bet, EP folds, MP raises, I just call.
It turns out that MP had Ks 4c for a rivered two pair.
My straight is good, I take down a 17 BB pot.
Later on, from watching this guy I learned that he would raise with any part of the flop, but I didn't really know that at the time. I just noticed that he frequently raised post-flop.
So, a re-raise on the flop and river right? Anything else I could have done? Thanks.
