I have recently starting playing 10-1 No Limit Texas Holdem at Party Poker. I have played 58 tournaments and have placed 43% of the time.
1st = 4 times
2nd = 12 times
3rd = 9 times

Is this good bad or ugly for a beginning tournament player for Holdem Tournaments?
I am trying to become a well studied student and review my hands and I am reading the regularly recommended poker books. I just don't know how good this is for a my first 58 tournaments.

Any and All feedback appreciated.

43% in the money, good (not great).
6.9% 1st, bad.
16% of money finishes first, ugly.

However, this sample is not nearly large enough to be representative, you could be a losing player or a uberman based on this sample.

I don't think these stats are too bad for a beginning tournament player. Let me guess, you previously played primarily ring-games 9-10 seated. I'd guess you need to work on your short-handed and head-to-head game. It appears you have enough discipline to get in the money, but you are failing to close the deal.
