On the river I knew right away that somebody leading into me after I have been betting the whole way was bad, so I just called anybody disagree?

I agree with the way you played this hand. He's either got you beat or he's bluffing; either way calling is best.

That really sucks. He probably has the darn straight. But couldn't he have made two pair, K4 or A4 or something like that?? He doesn't know you hit two pair. As far as he knows, you may have AQ or AJ.

But I guess it would be wrong to raise here.

Are we really afraid of runner-runner or 24o here? I could see 44 before that. My guess is the BB just paired up his A-rag or K-rag and has a lower two pair.

Hi Pat,

Theres certainly a chance that his opponent has made two pair on the River, but I think more often than not his opponent will either be bluffing, have a 2, or have 44. You stand to either gain 1 big bet or lose 2 big bets, so lacking a read I would just call it down.

The villian most likely had A2 hearts. You have to call there, however I would advise against raising.

I think you played the hand well.

He had the powerful 42o and took the pot. He saved me a bet by not raising the turn
