I'm in MP with 78s at a very passive table. UTG limps which sets off a chain reaction of limping ... all but one LP player calls.... thats right, 9 to the flop.

Flop comes T54 two spades, UTG bets all call .... yes all call.

Turn: 6 [T546 ] 2 spades.

river is the 4 of spades... utg bets all call... how bout it?

Pop it and see what happens. I know it seems hard to believe at times, but sometimes they don't have the flush.

I might raise the turn to try and eliminate some of the field, if there is still 4+ left by the river I would probably just call the UTG bet, I wouldnt want to get 3 bet by someone after me because your going to call the raise. See the end as cheap as possible.

Pretty big error in my post. The turn was not a 6 it was a non spade 3. Sorry guys I realise that changes things....

Unlike the situation in pufferfish's post in which I argued that the turn smoothcall might be a reasonably play (in contrast to everyone else /images/graemlins/crazy.gif) I think this is a clear raise. With all these players, you know a few of them likely have a spade and you really can't let them see a cheap river with a lonely spade.
