I just moved to New York and am thinking of playing down in AC one of these weekends. What games do they have above 10-20 and what are they generally like lineup wise(i.e. 2 pros, 5 solid players, 3 fish ect.)? I've heard there's a 20-40 and a 50-100 (i know there are bigger games but i wouldn't play any higher than this). Anyone have any first hand experience in these games or know what they are like? Is the 50-100 one of those games where it's heads up with a blind on every hand or does it get pretty good?

thanks,

rob

First of all, the only place that regularly spreads games this high is the Taj. 20-40 is spread regularly (certainly all weekend), and 50-100 runs every weekend day (but that games isn't necessarily running, for example, Saturday morning). The room also regularly offers 15-30, but 30-60 is *not* spread regularly. In other words, your hold'em choices will generally be 10-20, 15-30, 20-40, 50-100.

I have never played higher than 15-30, but I have seen mediocre 10-20 players sit down in the 20-40 game. I've also occasionally watched the 50-100 game; it seems playable if you have the bankroll (which I do not).
