Foxwoods Act 2 Tourney

I'm thinking about playing in an Act 2 tourney the day before the big event. Based on the previous post, I'm a little concerned that this might be a tourney with thousands of people in it. I've been told that the satellites are $115 buy ins, paying out $10,000 seats with no rebuys and add-ons. Does anyone know when and how often these tourneys are offered? Thanks in advance.

actually the act 2's are single table tournaments, with 1 winner going on to an act 3, which is the multi table tourney they pays out seats to the final? confusing? maybe the way i described it.

in addition to the "act" formats they have multi table satellite tourneys every night at 8pm (i think?) that cost something like $200 and have unlimited rebuys for the first couple rounds

I understand perfectly. Final question - how often are the act 2's offered? If I get into town around 2 pm, play an Act 2 over the course of 2-3 hours, would I have time to play in the Act 3? I probably can only make the Foxwoods the day before the big event (and would stay if, on the outside chance, I qualify).

the act 3's are scheduled rigidly.. do you know of one scheduled the day before the event? the act 2's just go from time to time depending on how many people are interested,... starting from 10am to 8pm i think, they just go whenever the list gets long enough. you probably have a chance to play in at least 2 of them

Act III's have been held every other Thursday. The last Act III is 2 weeks from tonight at 7:00. One seat in the Big One for every 10 players.

I apologize for beating a somewhat dead horse, but given a ~12 hour drive for me, I wanted to make sure I'm not totally missing something. The info I have is (those closer to FW, please correct or verify this):

Last Act I goes at 2p on 11/13
Last Act II goes at 3:30p on 11/13, and
Last Act III is at 7:30p on 11/13.

Does it look like there is enough interest (and tables/dealers available) that the Act Is and IIs will be going pretty much "all the time" on 11/11, 11/12 and 11/13?

Are there any hotel rooms within 30 mins. or so that haven't been booked or do I need to look real far away?

Thanks in advance for any input. I hate to "drag ass" all the way to CT if it looks like only a one or two Act Is/IIs will go off during the last few days before the final Act III.

I'm booked at the Days Inn (about 7 miles away) for 49.95 - nonsmoking room - must cancel by 4 PM day or arrival (hopefully I won't have to cancel!!) I think the Foxwoods are sold out for the event.

Thanks for the info. But, it doesn't look like I am going to be able to make it this time /images/graemlins/frown.gif I'll keep the Days Inn in mind for future visits. Too many things to take care of at home, plus the fact that my NL/tourney game is so rusty it would probably be a lot of effort and expense for nothing.

Good luck to all the 2+2ers there! Some trip reports would be great.
