7 games at every level from 1:3 to 75:150, holdem,stud, and omaha yesterday (middle of the week). A 2 hour waiting list at every level. Foxwood just can't handle the volume.

Well, this week and the next two are not normal weeks. The World Poker Finals are contributing to the logjam.

I've been hearing rumors that Mohegan is going to open a new poker room sometime next fall, but I have no idea how accurate those rumors are.

That makes me feel better. Yesterday was rough. So many people on the waiting lists standing around you couldent move in your chair. So loud the dealers had to scream so the players could hear them. Alot of the higher limit players rented rooms, it was so much better between the quiet and no rake that they start thier own games. Crazy stuff when you have to drive 8 hours to the nearest casino (from Maine) and then have to deal your own game.

One of the MS floormen, who now works as a pit boss there, told me the room would reopen in the spring. I asked for specifics, and he just said "Trust me." So, take that for what it's worth.
