Viejas?

Only been there a few times when in the San Diego area, but it sounds to me that the fire east of San Diego is right in the area of the Viejas Casino. Anyone know if it's been threatened or worse?

I'm not sure, but the casino is a joke.

Yes, the casino is in the fire zone, as best I can tell from the news. I don't know if it was damaged or not but I am quite sure it has been evacuated.

As for the casino, sure, as is the case with most indian casinos, it's a joke. But they have a very large cardroom, second biggest one in the SD area. The action there can be very good, especially at night or on the weekends. 18 is the gambling age inside viejas.

If you're in SD and want to play poker OUTSIDE the fire zone, go to the lucky lady on el cahon and 55th. It's about 4 miles from the fires tho, as of yesterday evening, so who knows what the situation is right now. I'd just stay out of SD for the moment if you have a choice.

I find it preferable to make the drive to Oceanside when I'm in the San Diego area. Once upon a time however Viejas had some great games.
