Here are a few clues that you might be in Texas.....or the twilight zone.

1)Your idea of a traffic jam is ten cars waiting to pass a tractor on the highway.

2)"Vacation" means going to the family reunion.

3)You've seen all the biggest bands ten years after they were popular.

4)You measure distance in minutes not miles.(so true )

5)You know several people who have hit a deer.

6)Your school classes were cancelled because of cold.

7)Your school classes were cancelled because of heat.

8)You've had to switch form "heat" to "A/C" in the same day.

9)Stores don't have bags; they have "sacks".

10)Stores don't have shopping carts; they have buggies.

These are just a few things to look out for while living/visiting the great Lone Star state. More to follow.

4)You measure distance in minutes not miles.(so true )

--I thought this was a NYC thing... and now I do it, help me.

5)You know several people who have hit a deer.

--My dad is has hit 3 living in upstate NY. The best part is you can keep the deer to eat it after calling the police or give it to them and they butcher it and feed it to the surrounding poor people.

This is also done in the county in the Arkansas Ozarks where I grew up. And we thought we were the only ones who did the A/C - heater thing!
