I was just poking around on truepoker's website and came across this.

SKLANSKY AND MALMUTH POKER TUTORIAL (http://www.truepoker.com/review_by_poker_expert.html)

Has anybody here done this?

Hmmm, that could be VERY interesting. I'm gonna think about doing that...at least look into it more.

Yeah I was in the first one back in March. It was helpful and it actually generated a very good thread mainly between Homer and I. I tried to make a link to it, but don't think I succeeded. The thread was generated on 4/02 and is titled S&M hand review review. I recommend anyone thinking about doing this read it.

Thanks for the link rkiray. I don't remember that thread from the when you posted it originally and had never seen a reference to this review anywhere. I wonder how often True still runs these things.

I also judge from your description of the game that players all bring their A-game since they don't want to look bad for S&M.

They ran at least one more a week or so later. I heard it was much loser but still tight (in the 20%). My game has improved significantly since then, so I'd be up for another one. Maybe we should post in the internet forum to see if anyone else is interested. People definitely bring their A game, and I know I didn't want to embarass myself in front of S&M.

I can't forget this thread. It's my all time favorite, because I learned more from this thread than any other. I think the hand review is significantly enhanced since any interesting comments by S&M or interesting hands in general can be posted on these boards for discussion.

If you can get 4 or 5 players together and agree upon a time .... we can see about rounding up some more players.

We should do these as well as the party poker small stakes forum game does. I'm game anytime for it.

I think it's good to have non-2+2er's at the table to loosen things up a bit. I'd recommend we shot for either a Wednesday, Thursday or Sunday evening. 9 PM EST would probably allow the most people to play.

I'm certainly willing to give it a shot.

Now that I'm on True, I would be willing. If its a full 2+2 table I'm not so sure though. Also, wouldn't it make more sense to do 2-4 as the 1-2 blinds is more standard than the 1-3 blinds in the 3-6 game... either that or make the blinds 2-3.

I definitely agree with 2/4. S&M made at least one mistake in there comments (DS posted that it was a mistake) because they didn't realize it was a 1/3 blind structure. I'm almost positive the second one was 2/4 instead of 3/6.

I'm game for 9pm est. on any of those nights.

It looks to me that we have 4 or 5 people who are willing to play. Why don't we shot for a week from Thursday 9 PM EST? This will give TruePoker time to find some players. Is this ok TruePoker CEO?
