Two friends (?) of mine persuaded me to try online poker after a hiatus since 2000 when paradise first opened.

So, for the past 2+ weeks I have tried it again.

The question I am struggling with is what is the best music to listen while playing online.

As I write this I am listening to Champion Jack Dupree singing Gambling Man Blues.

I have tried: Classical (mostly Beethoven), Jazz (Miles Davis), Blues (Etta James-- is she the blues or what?, Mama Thornton), far east music (Ravi Shankar, Alla Rakha).

My results are definitely best with Jazz.

Any one else have any inputs into this important question.

actually i have a sort of educated reply i think.

music that is not too upbeat or too downbeat (eg, no rap exciting or very drowsy or sad music), just my opinion

but

i think there may be a factual basis for listening to music with no words or lyrics, especially if you are playing multiple tables.
