How many situations can you name in which a player can have exactly 14 outs such that:

1. At least one opponent is ahead.

2. You cannot tie.

3. All of your potential outs are "live" (e.g., if you're on a flush draw no opponent can have a card of the flush suit).

4. You do not have an open-ended straight draw.

Have fun!

[1] (22) vrs (AK) board {J994}

[2] (2c2s) vrs (AdKs) board {Jd9d8d4h}

OK. So I can name 1000's if I tweak the ranks and the suits.

I'm going to cheat rule #4 with:

(A2) vs (57) Board: 9633

Maybe I am missing something, what about these situations.

Jh7h vs KsJs board (7sQsQc2d). Outs 3 K, 2 J, 9 spades

Well, the garden variety 14 outer is when you flop a pair with a flush draw and your opponent has a better hand, say, an overpair.

Example: You have 3s2s, opponent has the red Aces and the board is 8s7s2dQh.

Great solution skp.
