Where to stay between Philly and Atlantic City?

I'm planning a plan for Thanksgiving weekend.

I need to be in Philly the Saturday night of that weekend.

Plan on arriving in the area Friday night.

Would like to not pay holiday weekend rates at any of the AC hotels OR in downtown Philly.

Looking for some suburban or rural place in between with any kind of cheap to moderate chain hotels. About half way would be nice.

You can stay on Route 30. They have many hotels and motels that have reasonable rates.
