Just to consolidate(doing some paraphrasing and going off memory):

Doyle="Stu's record proves he was the best at NLHE tourneys, but he's not in my top ten in side games." "When he was younger, Moss was the best I ever saw."(Slim also seconds that)

A couple years ago this same subject came up. Mason trampled McEvoy, ran the usual about Stu(great at Stud & NLHE tourns, esp. shorthanded), but was very explicit about NOT criticizing TJ's play "in any way."

Wish we could search the archives(HINT,HINT) so I could find the exact quote.

FWIW Cowboy Wolford, TJ, OK Johnny among others say Bobby Baldwin was the best, and by an unsmall margin.

FWIW, just keepin' it stirred... /images/graemlins/cool.gif

Murphy the archives can be searched, so I did and found the post you referenced.

Sorry for the confusion.

The post by Mason I was referring was made in 2000 or 1999. I recall it was made around the time Sklansky made this post on RGP: http://tinyurl.com/s5hx
