I check, cutoff bets, button folds, i fold...

Good fold. On the flop, when the cutoff calls two bets cold he either has a hand that can beat a pair of jacks or he is drawing. If he was drawing, then the Kh showing up on the turn means he got there. You are drawing dead against a flush or a set. You have five outs against a pair of kings.

There is little doubt that you played this hand well. You charged the cutoff the maximum in order to draw to whatever he was drawing at, which was most likely a heart flush (explains his calling two cold on the flop, plus only limping pre-flop). Then, when he got there, you didn't pay him off because you had a good read on him. Good play.
