Party 3-6 I have just entered the game and i post in MP. UTG limps, UTG+1 raises, MP calls, I Have Q /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 6 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif and I call. We pick up both one LP player, the BB and the Limper, 6 to the flop.
Flop comes Q /images/graemlins/heart.gif J /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 5 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif
BB checks, UTG bets, UTG +1 calls, MP folds, I raise, LP 3 bets, BB folds UTG and UTG+1 call I cap, all call.
Turn is K /images/graemlins/heart.gif UTG bets, UTG+1 CAlls, I call, LP raises, all call.
River is a blank UTG bets, UTG+1 Folds, I fold LP calls
How did I play it? I think i was getting odds to call preflop, or should I have jsut tossed it there?

good play, bad result.

many people don't realize how many hands they can play for one more bet after they post in late position. however, if the table was unuusally aggressive i would muck the Q6s because it might get three-bet and the flop might be bet aggressively if i flop a mediocre hand.

Aside from posting in MP, I think you did fine. You're losing money by paying $3 for less than 7 hands 3/6 game. You're best to wait for the BB in the 1-3 blind structure.

You done good, the deck didn't. More than half of the time when you flop pair/flush draw, you will end up with at least two pair.

You would fold Q6s preflop for one SB getting an immediate 6.5:1, in a situation where you can expect to get something like 10:1??
