Typical Party 1/2 table.

I'm UTG+2. There is a poster UTG (?) so from the button, goes SB, BB, post BB, and me.

I'm dealt K /images/graemlins/club.gifK /images/graemlins/spade.gif and raise. Folded around to the 3 blinds who all call.

Flop:

Q /images/graemlins/diamond.gif3 /images/graemlins/club.gif4 /images/graemlins/heart.gif

SB checks, BB checks, poster bets into me, I raise, SB folds, BB and poster call.

Turn is the 8 /images/graemlins/heart.gif

BB checks, poster bets out again, which surprised me momentarily, but I raised again. BB folds and poster just calls.

River 9 /images/graemlins/spade.gif

Poster check-calls my bet.

Was the turn raise right? Comments on all streets appreciated.

Results later.

Was the turn raise right?

Against most opponents, yes.

Since I don't play online, I guess I can't answer this question. Against live players, it takes an idiot to bet back into a raise without improving there hand...while there are some idiots who do this, generally I would just call the turn. Any decent player would turn over Q 8 here and take it down (which begs the question, what decent player will play a Q 8 here).

I guess most online players are idiots.
