Another confession (see movie post below regarding "Titanic"). I haven't been watching much sports the last two or three years. That being said, in order to show solidarity with my Mom and Dad (both huge Red Sox fans), I've been watching the baseball playoffs and must say the games have been great.

In my past I was a long suffering Red Sox fan. Why I suffered I didn't understand. Then a few days ago I ran into an article posted online called "The Curse of the Bambino". I pasted it to my computer desktop. The link is below. Perhaps it will provide comfort. After all, sometimes you just can't get over a curse /images/graemlins/frown.gif.

They suffer because they have an unmatched talent for making bad decisions, especially in the clutch. That's why I gave up on them in late 70's and became a quarterstaff fan instead.

Rick,

I think we are cursed because of our Puritan lineage; delayed gratification, my ass.

I have now, interdenominationally, adopted Moses as the official fan mascot of the Red Sox.
