just some thoughts
if someone has a certain EV and/or hourly win rate for a certain game, wouldn't that playing game for a long time, as long as it didn't change, show a predetermined outcome, even if the outcome was unknown?
and although you are gambling by wagering money on the turn of a card and some outcome, in the end, the sole outcome as to how you do in the long run in that scenario is already determined by how you play that scenario, optimally or suboptimally.
so if someone has a negative hourly rate, or a positive one, or an hourly rate of zero, how can that person be gambling even if there are short fluctuations in that rate?
also, wouldn't a ring game be a different form of gambling that a tournament becuase in a ring game you are wagering money but in a tournament you do not. you simply pay an entry fee. isn't there a distinct difference in the set up of both types of poker?
