What is the best place to play low limit buy in tournaments (hold'em) or limit hold'em at in california. I will be staying just south of san fransisco for business and was just wondering what the best places to play are, how long a drive, and if there were any tournaments that people ould tell me about.

Lucky Chances in Colma is probably your best bet. I didn't notice any tourney info, but the ring games are outstanding. I crushed a 6/12 game which was way to loose and way to passive. The only player who was decent was a self proclaimed 20/40 player and he certainly showed some aggresion but did not adjust well to the game we were playing and dropped two buy ins.

He, to this day, is the only person to 4 bet me when I held quads on the river.

The rake is a little high but what place isn't in California.

what is the lowest hold'em they spread there and how far a drive is it from downtown?

3/6 and I took the BART from Downtown to Colma then hopped a cab for $4 to the Casino. All in all about a 20 minute trip.
