Anybody know if they card underage players at the poker room? Not that I'm underage or anything...

I'm underage myself... couldn't wait until I got my fake ID... and then found out they did not once card me when I was there except for one time that I tried to order three drinks at once and was giving the waiter an attitude cause he said he could only get me one at a time.

Basically if you are like me and look about 20 years old you should be fine.

See you at the 20-40 or 10-20 hold'em when drinking,
-Eugene

Why would you be a dick like this? If he can only bring you one drink at a time he can only bring you one drink at a time.

Why do you state that you play 20-40 or 25-50 in every post you make, as if no one here could conceive of playing at the 'middle limits'.?

I am now 21 but started going to foxwoods when I was 20. I barely look 18 but I got in quite a few times without getting carded. I was aksed if I was 21 once and I said yes. If I got carded at one entrance, I would ask where the buffet was and go to another entrance.

After I turned 21 I actually got carded by the floorperson at the table after playing for about an hour. He said if I was under 21 it would be possible to prosecute me for a felony. I'm pretty sure he was BSing.

Anyone know the consequences for being caught gambling underage?

Technically they could probably prosecute you, in reality you'll just have to leave and most likely loose your stack.

How could they prosecute me, the minor? Isn't that who the law is supposed to be protecting? After all it was the casino's responsibility to keep minors from gambling. In order to prosecute me they would have to be admitting the incompetency of their own staff, and probably be subject to fines from State, or the tribe, or whatever gaming comission is in charge of them.

I think if you were paying slots or blackjack and won money off the house they would efinitely confiscate your stack, but I'm inclined to believe that they would let you keep your money on the poker tables for some reason.

I disagree.

On a side note, what is it with people from massachusetts adding odd pictures of themselves to their profiles. You and daryn should meet and exchange "zany" photos.

also i doubt that they could take your money. you could totally plead ignorance.. hey, you don't know you're not supposed to be in there, you thought the legal age was 18, you heard it from someone. what are they going to do, pull the chips from your hands?? in a situation like that, when confronted in a casino you can just say.. "i wish to leave now" and just walk out. they have no power to hold you there.

It's an image thing. It makes me feel better about myself.
