6/12, Ameristar Casino, St. Charles, MO. Table is mostly loose passive with the occasional live straddle and limp-reraise. Most players have one eye on the game and the other on the Cubs/Marlins game.

UTG calls, UTG+2 calls, 2 MP callers, the button calls, I raise in the SB with AKs, BB and UTG call, then UTG+2 reraises (The reraise put her all-in, but I didn't notice), everyone calls.

Flop - K 3 5 rainbow

I check, UTG bets, 2 callers, I just call, BB calls.

Turn - 4

I bet, UTG raises, everyone folds to me and I call.

River - K

I check, UTG bets, I raise, he calls.

did the reraise constitute more than half a bet? (thus re-opening the action to you) if so, you should definitely put in another bet pre-flop.

given that the table is passive, i think i go for the check riase on the turn. it just doesn't seem that likely that in a passive game your bet would get raised immediately unless he had you beat.

unless this is one of the more aggressive players in the game i think i check and call on the river, but you were there and i wasn't, so this is a judgment call.

Why didn't you raise the flop? Don't tell me you were trying to slowplay your TPTK. I would have probably bet out, but if you're sure it's going to get bet, go for the check-raise on the flop. I don't like my TPTK getting drawn out on.

i agree, but this was a huge pot pre-flop, so i think going for two bets on the turn when the bet size is bigger is the better plan.

I really don't see any big problems with how you played it, but I would have probably capped it preflop.
