I have black K's in the SB and there are two limpers to me ( CO and button ). I raise BB folds and both limpers call.

Flop 8A7 2 diamonds. I bet CO folds button calls.

Turn is the Qd. I bet Button raises. I consider folding, but I go against it and check call the river.

I would've laid down to the turn raise against a typical opponent. I don't see too many hands you can beat here. BTW, was the Ace a diamond?

Sorry, yes it was the Ad. I had no read on the opponent. I felt like it was a bad decision afterwards, but I wasn't sure so... I posted it.

Yeah, I think you can fold safely on the turn. The reason I asked about the Ace has nothing to do with this specific hand, but let's say you had a strong ace on this board and the OTHER two cards were diamonds. When the raise comes on the turn, it's often by a weak ace with the A /images/graemlins/diamond.gif and you're still ahead.

I'm obviously not ahead here if he has an A.

calling here and on the river will cost you four small bets to win 17. if this is a player who will make this type of raise as a semi-bluff i would call him down. against a typical low-limit player you have a fold.

even if he is semi-bluffing, you will lose the pot 20% of the time if the flush hits.

That's why I said it didn't apply to this hand.

Button showed 89d for the winner. Oh well. next hand ( hopefully not as bad as this one ) /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

"Bet with no outs, check with outs".

This hand is a perfect example of this play; however, when you bet the turn and are raised, you fold.
