I just saw the movie Aliens for the first time in many years. It was awesome, even better than I remember. The fact that the special effects are now fifteen or so years out of date did not detract from the nail-biting tension one bit. This is a movie where they paid attention to every detail of the craft, the directing, effects, acting, story, and most of all the ability to keep you on the edge of your seat at all times. I hate to sound like one of those old fogies (and maybe I'm becoming one) but how come they can't make a movie like that anymore?
