flop % = 5%
hands won 0%
hands played 211
(i actually won 1 hand but it doesnt register)

Just Played J9H cause of boredome. While i chew my arm off, what happenes at a B&M when a run like this happens?
That could be 10 hours worth of rags. Its not realistic is it?

I dunno, I guess you'd have time to chew a lot of other things off as well.

I don't know that 211 is quite 10 hours worth of rags, probably more like 7 -- but yes, it can and does realistically happen.

I have never played at B&M, but even so, I can say that if this happens online, it is equally likely to happen offline; pure logic. Yes, it is realistic.

I miss the homer avatar. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

EDIT: This refers to Homer's new avatar and is completely non-related to this thread.

Yes it happens. And you fold and fold and fold and fold and order a diet coke, and fold, and fold, and fold, and start thinking if I just played 86o there I would have flopped the nut, and fold, and fold, and go walk around the casino, and fold, and fold, and fold.

You know there are a couple people missing limbs at the local card barn. I never thought it could be from running bad though. Of course I have never really asked either.....

hmm point to ponder.

Earlier this year I played Omaha / 8 in a B&M and did not scoop a pot for 10 hours. Having finally accoplished this in the 10th hour, I posted my kill blind, played the rest of the orbit, and took off.

The funny thing is, I didn't have any problems with tilt until...I snapped and played a garbage hand completely out of position. That happened to be the hand I scooped. Realizing what I had just done was a wake-up call for me to get the hell out of there.

Both cats got a kicking when I got home.

Played hilo stud for thirteen hours and didn't win any pots at all except a couple aces up...and one wheel. Ended up plus a hundred.

Played 24 hours stud hi had 777 777 888 888 999 QQQ AAA a wheel and numerous straights and flushes, almost all snapped, lost $3,000...yes, that was my worst loss. I don't feel any need to play higher than $20 $40, though a friend says there is a $75 $150 stud game at Casino AZ that is worth flying in from Vegas for when the right line up shows up.

Anyway, the point was getting hours of bad cards is boring, but usually inexpensive...try to do better than I did about getting good cards beaten! And, chasing never helps...it just turns the first type of game into a big loss instead of a small one.

Hearty agreement. My longest B+M dry spells have been nowhere near as expensive as the nights where I got an unusually proportion of my "monsters" cracked. Blinding away and tipping the waitress for more coffee is a lot cheaper than capping it until your nightmare card comes off on the river...
