I don't believe in karma or anything, but since the miseryshiver situation, I've been on an incredible run. I've gone from eeking it out at 3-6 with a couple hundred bucks in my account to winning the KOTZ and moving up to 15-30(I haven't decided how long yet).

There's something I haven't mentioned publically about the ms situation. After the fact, some people volunteered to help me in recovering my losses(not all of it, but it helped tremendously). I won't mention any names because I will keep it private unless they give me permission to post it. I don't have much of a point to this except to say thanks and to reaffirm that there are still many good people out there. Thanks again.

Hey Cup, nice to see that you're still running well.

BTW, how long have you been playing 15/30 online? How do you like the games?

p.s. - Note to self: Start playing Q5s at every opportunity. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

go check pokertracker and compare your results with Q-5 suited to aces. i want to see what the result is.

Q5s(doesn't seperate by actual suits)

over the last 7000 hands, I've gotten it 27 times. My winning percentage is 14.81% and I've won $190(.29BB per hand) with it.

AA

Dealt 39 times. Win percentage is 66.67% and the amount won is $699(1.55BB per hand).

My sample size is pretty small, but I expect that Q5s stats will start to skyrocket. Anything else you want to see?

can you separate these by times you actually played the Q5? i'd be more interested in that.

That really is quite extraordinary! Let's hope someone passes it on to Granny.

Wow, enjoy the run! I had something similar, played 3/6, then hit a good run, and then went all the way up to 15/30. Now I'm back down to 3/6, hope you don't suffer the same fate as me, I'm sure you'll win enough to make the MS issue drawf in comparison to your winnings! /images/graemlins/wink.gif (not to make light of the MS issue...)

Anyways, I guess if I ever run into you on party and you open-raise in LP, and the flop comes 455, I better think twice before assuming my AA is good. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

on my poker slang page (which is finally working correctly), i posted the grannymae tribute hand.

anyone else have any personalized hand names? pm me if you don't want to clutter the board with them, but if they have a good story behind them, feel free.

I printed a thread a couple of days ago where you made the Q5s tribute to Granny. It was given to someone who is seeing her today.

This one will be passed on as well, as we are going to be seeing her tomorrow. I'll deliver this one myself. Thanks for the thoughts. I don't understand why it is called the GrannyMae, since I have not talked to her since she was moved last weekend. I'm certain there is a story, and I can't wait to hear it from her.

I think that she will enjoy seeing Inthacup playing and winning at 15-30 with it. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

The support that the poker community is showing to "Granny" and her family has been great. When I asked about a table called "GrannyMae" at wsex, I was told that Annie Adlin had asked that it be added as a gesture of kindness. I must apologize to Annie for referring to her as "a consultant" from wsex. I have since been informed that Annie and Granny are friends, and that she had sent an email to family to tell them of this. Granny was very pleased to say the least.

Finally, an update;

Granny has stabilized to the point where she is on track to get a procedure that is imperative to her continued health. This in itself is something that was never expected. We are still day to day, but if she can get this procedure there is a chance that she will haunt you all from a keyboard, instead of a coffin (her words, not mine).

The letters keep arriving, and are being brought to her. The appreciation from her family and friends remains a thing of awe. Never underestimate the power of friends and never stop the good thoughts and great gestures. They are the focal point right now.

Much appreciation and respect to all, and best of luck in the 15-30 playing the 5Qs.

A while back I had invited Granny to accompany me to Fenway Park in Boston to watch the Red Sox. For those who don't know, they are now in the playoffs, and last night they were facing elimination.

I was there, and in my pocket were the Qs & 5s. The Sox won the game in the bottom of the 11th on a pinch hit 2 run home run by Trot Nixon.

I will be there again today, and so will the Q5s in Granny's honor.

So Granny, should the camera scan the stands, and you happen to see someone flashing the Q5s, it will be in your honor!

Thank you so very much for the update, I've been thinking a philosophing a lot after I heard how ill she was.
Was a class act to play the Zoo tournament when she did, and as in poker, if there is a miniscule chance of winning, you just have to find it.
All the best to you GrannyMae!
