What total bluffing frequency would guarantee poverty for a poker player? Would a player who bluffed 10% of the time automatically go broke? If not then at what point?

(Yes, I am aware that in some situations there is an optimal bluffing frequency but I am interested in suboptimal bluffing in all situations.)

How good or bad bluffing is will depend a great deal on the game being played and the opponents. E.g., you could bluff a great deal more in a big bet game with good players than in a low limit full ring game. What situation did you have in mind?

All things being equal what total bluffing frequency would obliterate a player's bankroll? [The question begs a general answer; but I thought someone might well be able to put an exact figure on it.]

If you are a losing player who then decides to bluff too much on top of other problems, obviously it will have a bigger impact on you bankroll than a winning player that bluffs the same amount.

There is no magic number to answer your question because it varies too much. If you are at a super-weak-tight table where player will laydown all sorts of hands, even if they have the odds to call, then bluffing "too much" is the correct strategy. At a table full of calling stations bluffing by even some predetermined perfect amount is a recipe for disaster.

There is a worst case situation and a best case situation.

Being in a super-tight game is in theory the best case situation for the bluffer but even here he may bluff too much. There is an upper bound to bluffing frequency that even in the ideal generalized circumstances will send your bankroll spiraling into the felt.

And some day this value will be computable.
