I'm pretty much a rookie (have read Super system and a couple of Caro books) and was wondering which Hold em books are essential (limit and no limit/ plus tourneys). Any information would be helpful...Thanks

The Theory of Poker by David Sklansky
The last book is not about hold'em, per se, but it is must reading for any serious poker player. The others cover limit play. I almost never play no limit and rarely play tournaments, so I can't make any recommendations there. I've only just started the Ciaffone/Brier book, also geared towards limit play. I don't agree 100% with everything I've read thus far, but I do like the first 20 or so pages overall.
